There has been a boom in the construction of golf course communities, with about 7 World class courses all being up to PGA standard, thanks to Dubai’s prominence on the international stage and its year-round access to sunshine. Dream villas have been constructed within these neighborhoods by developers who took the initiative and adopted the design from traditional golfing locales like Portugal, Spain, and the UK.
The majority of the expat workforce in Dubai has historically resided in the inner-city high-rise apartment buildings, but they are now seizing the chance to move outside the city and into these communities where it is more familiar to have green open spaces and room for children to play safely. There are many advantages to living in a golf course community outside of the city, including less smog, less noise pollution, and a general pleasant feeling of being in the country. By providing open parkland, bike lanes, tennis courts, and gymnasiums, these communities directly benefit public health.
Shopping centers are now appearing in the suburbs as well, providing a further boost to the local economy and residents. The new air-conditioned mega malls under construction will typically offer a sizable hypermarket, multiplex cinemas, and hundreds of shops to suit all tastes and budgets, all with free parking. Additionally, as cities expand into the suburbs, more hospitals and schools are opening up to meet the growing demand.
With the significant infrastructure investment, the typical Dubai resident is looking more toward commuting and finds these new golf course suburbs to be much more appealing and accessible. Large golf clubhouses with first-rate amenities like restaurants, bars, gyms, and swimming pools are being offered by developers. They also have first-class first-class facilities.
Victory Heights, a typical golf community suburb with more than 1200 properties available, is one example of one that already exists. It is situated on an Ernie Els-designed golf course. Over 2000 townhomes and villas are available at Arabian Ranches, a nearby community with an 18-hole championship golf course., this was one of the first major projects offering out-of-town living. The Akoya project, supported by Paramount Studios and Donald Trump, will feature over 1500 apartments and villas. Akoya Oxygen, which is taking over the delayed Tiger Woods-designed golf course, will feature another 1000 apartments and villas. Jumeirah Golf Estates is one of the newest golfing communities and is situated around two Greg Norman-designed golf courses and offers 1000 golf course villas. Many people want to live in these new developments.
